@900pilot: Damn, you've seen my car then, have you. Going on Tire Rack today to order 2 new tires. Damn mechanic F-upped my alignment and ruined tires that were less than a year old.

@fodder650: Yeah, I count an E-class Mercedes, several late model Volvos, VW Passats & Golfs, a newer Honda Civic, a Subie, Etc...
Don't tell anyone, but there is a Jeep Cherokee sitting in there. It looks so lost among all of those European cars. Shipped all the way from Toledo just to get crushed before its time. Shameful.
Up and until I saw $25,000, I was all for this car. It is one of my all time favorite Matchbox cars I still have and my son plays with. At about $10K less, it would be an easy purchase (like I have that kinda cash), but at its current asking price, C.P!
@Prozach1: Plus One!
I don't know why, but every time I see one of these, I think it would be a great truck for the family. Screw all ya'll with your Suburban's & Expeditions. This has all the room you could want, AWD and a big V-8 with WAY more muscle than you could reasonably need. I must be getting old.
@thehamsterman: Same here. Wish I could by an EX Honda without their blasted sunroofs!
A car is nothing. I've walked through several homes which we appraisers call "path houses". Usually older people who are pathological hoarders. Typically, they are in really poor condition, with small areas for the homeowner to sleep & prepare a meal. The last one I did was this winter. Older guy who probably hadn't…
@FightingChance: Yep, it is a BIG car. I think Ford made a mistake calling it the Taurus. Everyone equates that car to something more akin to the Fusion. Car & Driver really drove the point home when they had the current car lined up with the 1st & 2nd generation SHO's. The current Taurus was at least 6" taller than…
@gman1023: Ann Coulter? She with the pronounced adams apple?
I learned how to drive a stick in a 1986 Dodge Ram Wagon, which is the full sized van, to the uninformed masses. A slant six, 4 on the floor, grabby clutch and touchy brakes. Mmm, Mmm, Mmm. Man, I DO NOT miss that truck.
"designed to help lazy drivers maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front, but HIS one's targeted at the super, extra special lazies who can't even be bothered to steer their own cars."
I can't believe real estate appraisers aren't on this list. For all the miles we, as a profession, pile on to our cars, and being distracted while driving by comparable sales, what with clip boards, camara & other what not, it's amazing I haven't T-boned a school bus yet.
I'm sorry, wasn't VW's stated goal to increase its sales figures in the US dramatically within the next three to five years? If that is their plan, why limit yourself to a couple of car platforms, a slow selling SUV, a whored out mini-van (to Chrysler, for God sake!) and a couple of niche cars that aren't selling very…
@68Fastback: Hey, my uncle got "thrown clear". He was thrown clear threw the A-pillar of his pick up. My aunt had to decide if he should be in one casket or two. Needless to say, it was a closed casket funeral. :(
@MushyHeirloom: Oooh, Ick! That gives me a really squishy feeling, just like when the doctor says "bend over, this will just take a second or two".
Oh, please God, not Adam Carolla! I listen to his pod cast just for something different. But he sounds like a complete, insufferable ass.
Oh, come on. I liked my sisters Tracer. When I told her it was a better alternative to my other sisters Escort Pony, that sealed the deal. It was a great car, until the tranny went south. Oh, wait, forget I said anything. Let's go for something with better name recognition. How about the "Mercury Mystique"?
@BlueRSX: Oh, now I really miss my '79 Rabbit. Its beige-ness hid a really tossable car. Only the 3-speed automatic held it back from being the really great car it could have been.
Wow, this just in! Cars can't drive themselves, boats sink if you drill a hole in them & planes will fall from the sky if the engines stop working. In a related story, it continues to snow in the winter time in northern climates, mud-slides are common after forest fires when it rains & God still hates mobile home…
