Perhaps that wasn't tobacco but some type of strange crack-cocaine cigarette. The weight would sort of make sense if he was smoking rocks...

Really? I felt like Mass Effect did a pretty decent job of creating relatively different characters.

"It was set to whore!"

Uhhh, I don't know how you feel Crecente, but I am HYPER-JEALOUS. I would love to have someone storify my life and then project it into an alternate reality. I feel like it could be pretty cool to see what story me would do and how it would differ or align with me.

I wonder how often the input of the PR guys, the shareholders, etc. has made a great game. I know that in literature, there have been a lot of times where a "great author" has actually been the result of a weird author and a really good editor (who is concerned with making the book sellable). Hell, Star Wars is

"Unless the director is really hands-on, it's no one's project. It's just a product."

I dunno, the new Cybermen design seems pretty solid to me. I haven't caught any of the new Cybermen episodes yet (I am super behind on my new Doctor Who watching) but they look a little more like beefy combat cyborgs than the original (and beloved) clunky dudes.

I don't know about this new Conan. I just hope that it is able to find its essence and really stick to it the way the first film did... Damn, that was such a good movie.

It's harder to demonstrate with Google image screenshots than I thought it would be but if you think of the smoother, more bulbous armor styles, the colors of the armor, and the architecture of a lot of the settings in Mass Effect 1, there is this huge 1970's sci-fi vibe (which the visual grain adds to). Somehow we left that metaphor and got into crazy personal stories. I don't even own a bike... Either that or we just got into some intense deeper meaning that is way beyond me at the moment.

Someone obviously hasn't been on many shared biking/walking paths :P

I'm not the most computer savvy person out there but I built my rig for the lower end of that range using parts from Newegg.com about 5 years ago (and it's still going strong). There are probably some other sites that more into it people know as well, but Newegg is definitely a start.

"elitist PC owners"

Yeah, I was really impressed at how damn well it worked.

Yeah, they were winning so much that they decided to just withdraw themselves from the running to give other, lesser films a shot.

Of course you are at a loss for words when you think of the unbelievably moving and powerful works that are the Resident Evil series of films.

Yeah, something along those lines.

I thought hipsters were the old nerds, just sexier (sometimes).

I wasn't ever a fan of Power Rangers (in fact it annoyed me) but that totally makes me want to go look up the Japanese version.
