Yeah, I preferred elevators as well. And, I am odd for this, but I felt like the vehicle exploration was a necessary component of the atmosphere and I hope they bring it back in some incarnation (it was definitely a million times better than that damned scanner).

I don't think it's just scope or being groundbreaking. ME was just tightly, artfully wrought—something which very few works, video game or otherwise, can claim. Even if it wasn't perfect, each piece of the puzzle was used really well and that means something when you bring it back to its epic size.

"Because nerds love to hate anybody that nerds love."

Yeah, similar to you, I don't see "fun" depictions of war as too horrible. I think it's because they cross that same line into distance from reality that any media violence does. Saying that, I know it's at least partially me excusing myself for my own tastes even when I don't totally agree with my own reasoning.

Maybe that Quarian soldier who helps you rescue Tali?

The humans in robes is a little different than the Vietcong and NVA becoming monsters. I am not weirded out in an "oh my god, fantasy!?" sort of way.

Do you think this of any more of note than something like Battlefield Vietnam or Rambo (all the Rambos after First Blood anyway)?

huh?

I'm excited for the game and all, but I have to say that I am a little weirded out by the fact that the Vietnamese fighters are replaced by orcs and goblins.

Actual questions (sincerely not trying to be a rhetorical jerk): do you think it would it make any difference if there were no remaining Vietnam veterans? Is a comedy set in the Vietnam war any worse better than an action game that might glorify its violence?

Return of the Jedi featuring Darth Vader's famous cyborg lazy-eye. Spoilers much about the fate of the death star on the first poster?

What? What!? WHAT!? WHHAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!... (?)

No I meant Lois. The whole disinterest in Clark but love for Superman thing throws me off. Also I tend to envision Superman as more troubled about his identity as an adopted member of humanity and that seems like it would push him romantically toward someone like Wonder Woman rather than Lois.

I actually feel like I have a good bit less control with the BC2 helo controls. They are certainly way easier to pick up and they result in less inexperienced players insta-flipping a helo full of players (as hilarious to watch as it is horrifying to be in). With that in mind, I wish there was a way to have a dual

I never liked Lois Lane as a long term love interest. She's more of a childish crush to get over; for Superman anyway.

Nobody seems unreasonably angry. It just seems like everyone is doing a collective forehead scrunch at Bungie, and rightfully so. I mean, what does a big hoax announcement like that do for anyone? It's not actually funny and it doesn't provide any actual game related news about the company.

I'm a big BF fan, but I'm not among the people who despise BC2 (I actually rather enjoy it). The main criticisms I've heard generally have to do with simplifications of the vehicles (and vehicle options) in the game and generally the scale (both in map size and number of players). I've heard it argued that the

Hey... I like Radiohead :(

A long, long time from now. Things are certainly coming together but we're still a ways out. I don't have definite proof of this but an article on the ANet blog from a few months ago and the fact that there is still a ton of Guild Wars Beyond content to be released says to me that we have quite a solid wait on our

Yuck. Just yuck. This is why microtransactions and DLC seem so terrible to people. It's really hard to argue the quality of better microtrans systems like those in Guild Wars, Everquest 2 EX, or BC2: Vietnam when you have obvious and pathetic money-grabs like this.
