Has anyone watched The White Queen? I know it's based on a novel, but that was the only Gregory novel I've started and never been able to finish.
That accompanying picture just screams, "I'm watching you feel good."
This is why I'll never get married or have children. Aside from the fact that gay marriage isn't legal in Oregon.
I don't know if it's on HBOGo or not, but to paraphrase every Russian spy in a movie, ve haf vays of vatching shows online.
@Scrawler2:disqus I'm surprised you haven't already seen it. It's some of the best cringe-inducing television I've ever seen, and a show I keep coming back to.
My dad is like that generally, but he's been getting more into actual good old movies. Or, I should say, I've been getting him into them. He actually really dug an old Rene Clair film a few months back.
@Scrawler2:disqus How very Aunt Sassy of you!
I'm pretty sure that already exists.
@avclub-5bc6960dad8ab0694bb4d6ff884b0c1e:disqus I think the Wachowskis often bite off more than they can chew, so yes, shooting those sequels all at once was a fucking terrible idea.
Combination massage parlor-movie theaters, in which burly Asian men with moustaches rub one out for you during Bruce Willis films.
Assatar?
I imagine the sequels will do well in those crazy 4D theaters that are popular in Asia.
I think that's why I loved Pacific Rim so much: because it reminded me of being a kid and seeing movies as these amazing, immersing experiences. When I was watching it, I actually wished I WAS ten so I could truly be enjoying the film that way. That said, I don't think it needs a sequel. A prequel maybe, but if the…
I think the much delayed Twixt was Coppola's Avatar.
@avclub-6c6094f256f51e83fe02bce6091163e7:disqus I think the plot is just so familiar to anyone who has seen a fair number of films, it's not important at all.
Maybe if I were high, I'd enjoy the visuals at least, but everything about the movie's narrative and characterization just screams sub-par. I mean, I enjoy some action films that are big on spectacle (Pacific Rim and Sucker Punch to name a couple), but there has to be something else there that's compelling to me on a…
I think shooting back-to-back can really wear a director out, and oftentimes results in two (or more) mediocre movies that might have been legitimately good if he or she had proper time to give each film.
Does anyone want these- other than Cameron? I know a lot of people enjoyed the 3D of the first Avatar, but I don't know anyone who legitimately likes the first film, at least not enough to be up for three more movies.
I am a multi-tasker. It has been kind of jarring to go from having free time after work to working, coming home, eating, researching, shower, and sleep. On one hand, it's nice to be productive. On the other, I'm really fucking tired.
