They were never pumping them out at Marvel’s breakneck pace though. Marvel are up to 3 or 4 a year. Star Wars never rose above 1 a year (in fact, the main series was only every other year). That’s on par with The Hunger Games4 in 4 years, Twilight’s 5 in 5 years, and slightly ahead of Harry Potters 8 in 11 years.

Was this ever the problem? The sequel trilogy were all events — increasingly awful events, but events nonetheless. Even Rogue One was kind of an event, if only for the novelty factor.

100%. I kinda assume the actor’s a nice guy and they wanted to keep him around, but being expected to care what Joel is up to (or to accept that he’s earned any redemption) has been a painful experience. Midge is an asshole too, but at least she can be a witty and interesting asshole. Joel just sucks the life out of

Yeah, tons of the usual “best show ever” contenders ran much longer without hitting a big decline, if they declined at all. The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mad Men, The Wire, The West Wing, The Americans, etc.

I don’t think it’s out of the question that they could come up with a logical narrative reason for her to appear in a supporting role in at least one arc.

Lots of shows had their seasons screwed up, and will do this time too, but those are generally on the old model where it’s a production line — e.g. when episode 1 airs, episodes 2-5 are in various states of post-production (editing, scoring, visual effects, etc.), episode 6 is still shooting, episode 7 is in

My assumption is that they will continue full production as normal, it’s just that the dialogue is locked for the time being.

He’s the lead in that Andor is largely told from his perspective, whereas Rogue One is very much Jyn’s film. My suspicion is that the switch will feel quite odd when all is said and done. At least if you try to view Andor and Rogue One as a single narrative.

Not all that well is my guess. Narratively, it’ll be slightly weird when Cassian is largely sidelined in the climax of the story. Qualitatively, Rogue One was pretty good, but it wasn’t Andor good.

Season 2 will be told in four 3-episode arcs. Only the final arc is right before Rogue One, the others will be spread out with a time jump of a year or so between each of them.

new film set within the continuity of Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Cloverfield Paradox could be on the way

it looks like a lot of scenes got cut from Part One

Well, your response had nothing to do with gizseason’s point, which really only leaves the two possibilities they pointed out previously:
1) Your reading comprehension is lacking.
2) You were so riled up by the idea of Dune and Star Wars being compared that you were typing up a refutation before you even got to the end

You mean, aside from reacting so fast in your desperate fanboy need to prove thatactually, Dune and Star Wars are completely different” that you utterly missed gizseason’s point?

Except Quantumania is the only one of the “new movies” that’s notably underperformed.

And I’m not sure what you’re basing the idea that The Marvels will be a ‘huge flop’ on?

only reason it appeared in theatres at all was to appease the people who were mad about it

seriously DC, hire a continuity editor

He’s head of DC and personally writing and directing a Superman film, and he hasn’t even read a script for this one, if only to make sure they’re not stepping on each other’s toes? It may not technically be dead, but it might as well be.

To clarify, what Lineker said was that the language (i.e. words like “invasion”) being used by the government to refer to immigrants and asylum seekers is the sort of thing that you might have heard in Germany in the 30s.
