When did the reviews start coming out? Wilson and Hathaway were promoting the movie on The Graham Norton Show in the UK and talked about this. That episode aired way back on April 19th and would have been recorded at least a day earlier.

But that makes no sense. Season 5 ran right up to the edge of the snap (they referenced Thanos’ arrival in the last few episodes), so there’s no way they could squeeze in a year long time jump before the snap happens.
Yeah, that makes sense. Pity they couldn’t sync up. It’s not like the movie folk needed to tell them anything other than “as you suspect, the snap will be undone, but not for 5 years”. But, as that seems not to have happened, it’s a pity they couldn’t adjust the “One Year Later” card and ADR a few lines to extend the…
FYI, the Frozen that came out in Feb 2010 wasn’t the Disney animation (that didn’t come out in 2013). Alice in Wonderland, at the start of March, was probably the first real competition Avatar faced.
“Cameron’s pretty pompous for a guy whose best directing credits are more than 20 years old at this point”
At a guess, they’ll remove the teeth and make his eyes bigger and closer together. Basically whatever criticisms got the most meme attention... which, yeah, is maybe the worst possible method of taking criticism on board.
Worst thing is, they’re taking the wrong message.
I don’t think so. Gamora is dead in the Soul Pit, but there’s no reason to think alt-Gamora isn’t still around. She disappeared because she didn’t know how to deal with a relationship that Quill remembers and she doesn’t. In fact, my Guardians 3 prediction is that they restore Gamora by finding her soul and merging…
I’m guessing the Falcon & Winter Soldier show is getting a new title too.
How did that work out for you?
Specifically to keep you guessing? Maybe she is leaving, but I’m sure that wasn’t her ending (frankly, I’m kind of expecting her to end up working with Blum).
Eh... I disagree. I thought Portman was pretty great in the first Thor, and barely phoned it in for the second. My suspicion is that she was excited to work with Patty Jenkins, and lost all interest when “creative differences” put an end to that.
It’s really a testament to the incredible consistency of the MCU. Aside from the bottom three (and even those have their moments) the starting point is already pretty high for escapist blockbuster entertainment, and the rise in quality from one film to the next is so gentle as to be almost negligible a lot of the time.…
But Jon is a Targaryen, and they’re not averse to incest either (and usually not by accident — Dany’s parents/Jon’s Grandparents were siblings born of siblings).
Not normally a fan of 3D, so I saw it in 2D at the cinema, but I was excited to make some rare use of my TV’s 3D capabilities when the bluray came out. I remember mostly being disappointed at them just dropping the 3D entirely for one of the perspective trick shots. Now, to be fair, I don’t even know that it would’ve…
The title suggests Rey’s parentage. The imagery suggests Kylo growing out of his Vader cosplay. A fair bit, is the likely answer.
Yeah, I was being facetious, and agree that they probably specifically hired him as a one-season thing. But it was odd to announce in advance that he wouldn’t be returning in the first place, let alone when it would’ve made more sense to recognise how well he fits and change their ending to keep him around for another…
I mean, the logic is obviously going to be flawless, but out of interest, how much of Captain Marvel’s billion dollars does he put down to Disney buying up seats?
Which kinda suggests that Anson Mount is an asshole*, because they are getting rid of him, despite having no great need to do that yet (at least as far as my understanding of the lore goes) and his character being the glue that’s holding the show together.
It’s amazing how someone could believe that possibly being intoxicated, sleeping in your car, and having a gun within arm’s reach is a crime punishable by execution without trial.
