What might be quite cool would be to have it be a progression.

I think the point is less that you can’t solve everything and more that the outcome doesn’t have any weight to it. Like it needs an extra quest or a cutscene or something to sell the gravity of what’s happened, even if you can’t actually fix things. A disease is ravaging your hometown as a direct result of your…
I’m in much the same boat. I did eventually finish Unity, but not Rogue or Syndicate or Liberation, and I never even bought Origins. Odyssey’s RPG leanings and opening up of player choice was beginning to interest me, but I figured I’d wait for a price drop, and articles like this make those parts seem very shallow.
Ditto. I’ve picked up every game in the series, but only completed the first on PS2. I made a start on the second, but got distracted, and when I finally got back to it my PS2 wouldn’t recognise the disc.
Nah, Kiwami 1, like Yakuza 0, was built cross-platform (both got PS3 releases in Japan), so it was held back by that. Only Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2 are true current gen games.
Eh? This is more of a port than an upgrade or proper remaster. The PS4 screenshot isn’t showing what the PS4 is capable of. If you hunted out some similar shots from a PS3-era Yakuza and compared it to Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PS4, you’d absolutely be able to tell the difference.
Is it even green screen? It looks kinda like the crowd is a background projection.
It doesn’t help that unlike pretty much every other sidequest, they’re completely generic. Ooh, some featureless sea, some drowners, some underwater crates full of crap I don’t need, all several minutes of sailing across the mostly featureless sea apart — and so much of it that I keep having to go offload it all to…
I have almost 100%ed the game... all that’s left is a bunch of “?”s in the seas of Skellige. I actually recently made a concerted effort to clean them up, but after several sessions I’ve set it aside with a few still left. It’s the one thing in the whole game that’s felt like a chore.
I may have to give The Raid 2 another shot, because I wasn’t that impressed with this fight when I watched the film, but that looks way better than I remember. I think it must’ve been that I’d pretty much checked out by that point... the story was so mediocre, and the action was too sparse to make getting through 2.5…
Except they only have short term work available. It’s not Skybound’s fault that Telltale went belly up. They’ve only been in existence for six months, and as a publisher, not a developer.
Not strictly anime, but related enough that I’d argue it should be on the list, Thunderbolt Fantasy is back for a season season too. Awesome martial arts puppetry from the writer behind Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, and Psycho-Pass.
That’s what happens when someone like Bendis comes in with a big scifi idea and the editorial team let him wing it for a few years but never bother to ask how it will end. To be fair, it was a great concept, and the book got off to a pretty strong start, but Bendis is about as far as you could possibly get from the…
There was a lot of stuff I liked in the film, and even some of the supposedly non-sexist complaints were bizarre (Non-Newtonian physics, you say? That’s... uh... just like every other film in the series), but structuring the whole film around the slow-motion chase required such stupidity from characters on all sides th…
Bay’s study collected all of the tweets directed at Johnson
The suggestion (which wasn’t mine) was to release 3-4 months before FIFA, not after, which would, among other things, allow them to capitalise on a new release alongside a major international tournament every other year.
I think the numbers initially represented discrete sagas, but they flubbed the transition between the third and fourth (wasting the IV on Black Flag when it was a direct prequel to III, and muddying the waters with too many interlinked spinoffs), and ultimately abandoned sagas in favour of mostly standalone entries…
Except that there’s no reason that synchronisation couldn’t be achieved through patches. And they don’t the rights to the kits/squads that anyone cares about anyway, so the best anyone can expect is slightly less wrong fakes.
After she seemingly destroyed her ability to emote with copious amounts of botox, I’m not sure how anyone could be a huge Kidman fan any more. That said, this sounds like a role where she wouldn’t be called upon to do a lot of melodramatic “face acting”, so it might not be an issue.
Because the religious vote is most interested in putting a stop to abortion (and LGBTQ rights), and they’re willing to overlook all manner of sins if they think it’ll get them there?
