Oh I agree. I don’t know how they got it in their heads that what fans wanted most was for Palpatine to come back. Like, that really makes Star Wars his story more than anyone else’s at that point since he was the ultimate bad guy of all three trilogies. But they caved to the idea of making Kylo Ren a good guy and who

You should really learn what the term “edgelord” means before you use it.

Luke’s ForceTime saber battle with Kylo is top 3 for the whole franchise. Absolutely flawless.

TROS isn’t perfect but it felt like a real movie

u can pry grizzled mean old man luke from my cold dead hands!! i love him!!!! the kylo and rey fight scene?? wonderful. dumb. amazing. i loved it. poe, an idiot?? exactly what i want. holdo? perfection. stunning. glittering.

boooooooo booooooooooooooooo

Actual photo of the io9 editing team looking at all the ad revenue coming in every time they instigate another Last Jedi argument:

The easy fix would have been to have “The Sith” be a parasitic being that used the dark side as a conduit to take over a new host. Palpatine’s plan was always to find a more powerful host.

As a big fan of Johnson’s films before the new trilogy, I was incredibly excited. The movie itself has a lot of problems. A “space race” where a pursuing fleet can jump to light speed at any time is just dumb sci-fi, and the casino planet felt like wasted time.

But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Last Jedi

That final shot with the kid and the broom, gah! I love that shot so much!

Still the best of the recent trilogy.

Destroy all the sacred cows of star wars- the handsome rogue? Treacherous. The guy who doesn’t follow orders? almost gets everyone killed. The Jedi? A nobody. And the final, final scene- the little kid in the stable who subtly force-pulls his broom to him? PERFECT.

I walked out of The Last Jedi enjoying the idea that the force is in all of us. What a great message for children (the real audience for these movies.)

As he should.

I love TLJ. It felt like an adventure movie with Finn and Rose searching for the coder while the rebel fleet tried to stay ahead of the Imperial fleet. Rey and Kylo fighting the imperial guards and killing Snoke was one of the best lightsaber fights in the franchise. And the silent scene when Admiral Holdo launched

the downgrade from TLJ to ROS was incredible

The hate piled on this movie is neverending and, as a direct consequence, we got the worst Star Wars film ever as a response...and maybe one of the worst movies ever made. They fly now? They fly now!

The Hound was often pretty amusing in his own way, as was Tyrion.

No mention of Ser Bronn of the fuckin’ Blackwater?

I *do* think Hightower wanted Alicent to fuck the king - I just don’t think she had it in her to try and do so (which, in the long run, was the right move even if she didn’t intend it as such).

There’s a palpable tension between Viserys and Alicent, who has probably been sleeping with the king in the six months since the queen died and who, I cannot emphasize enough, is 15 years old.
