When that old dude was like, “Which one is Erryk,” that was all of us.

“Where was Helaena this episode? We got one teeny glimpse at her”
The sound of the killing was almost worse than seeing it.
It was a way to remind us of Aegon I’s prophecy.
I’m just mad about how many blue people and fish beings they put in. Can’t just have a movie with humans in it any more. Woke agenda!
It makes a ton of sense that Jedi would be trained in nonlethal techniques, but it does raise the same old questions: why are you bothering with physical bullshit at all if you can just use magic to immobilize your opponent? I’ll give The Acolyte a little bit of credit, here, though: I think that Lee really acts the…
I saw The Usual Suspects, The Sixth Sense, and Se7en long after the twists/mysteries had been spoiled for me. Being spoiled isn’t a big deal to me; when a mystery/thriller is made well, it doesn’t depend on not knowing the answer to be entertaining.
Gripping start. Intrigue from start to finish. Casting department knocks it out the park, as does wardrobe.
Didn’t you guys also like Obi-Wan, which was truly awful? As in, significantly worse than any other Star Wars series, or most other series in general? The show that had a few great moments, but so many terrible ones even from the beginning?
It’s very interesting to see Jedi whose first reaction to an aggressor is not to immediately whip out a lightsaber.
I mean, I’d argue that it’s a lot better than kidnapping children.
I see your point and don’t disagree at some levels. But I also think the Jedi are iconic and not having them in a show is like making a feudal Japan story without any Samurai. It’s possible but there lack of presence will be noticed
It’s better than everything you listed!
My problem isn’t so much overexposure to the Jedi, but overexposure to this specific vision of the Jedi.
Watched the first two episodes and I thought they were great. The one leg up they have on Andor is that Andor devoted too much of its runtime in its early episodes to the ponderously placed (and largely irrelevant) flashback scenes to Cassian’s childhood. Frustratingly, the second episode ended on a downbeat flashback…
On the other hand, the Jedi are the most recognizable part of the series, and they’ve really tapped out the “War” parts of it. There are movies about the Clone Wars, movies about the Galactic Civil War, and movies where the Galactic Civil War starts over again. And there are series filling the gaps between the movies…
Thrawn ended up on a planet from the Nightsisters of Dathomir originated from and made contact with the Great Mothers who resided there. The Mothers contacted their descendant, Morgan Elsbeth through the Force, guiding her to the ancient Nightsister map pointing to their origin, allowing her to navigate to the same…
So turns out Eman Esfandi is great as Ezra. That scene where he tries to negotiate, classic Ezra. No notes.
Best show on TV.
I am a grown man with a Bandit t-shirt.
If you had ever told me I would own a non-ironic piece of clothing featuring a Disney Jr. character, I would have laughed you out of the house. But I’ll be damned if this isn’t one of the greatest tv shows of the last 20 years.
