Whichever democrat ran against Santos should be deeply, deeply ashamed of themselves.

I keep forgetting. Do conservatives believe that boycotts are huge violations of free speech rights that only the illiberal woke left would ever call for, or that they are a legitimate form of protest (albeit one that almost always fails) that is itself speech?

This will just serve to make more people who otherwise don’t think about or have an opinion about abortion hate these antichoicers. Have at it, idiots!

This is all we needed for the GOP to say, SEE! SEE! It’s just like what Trump did but worse of course. We just evened the playing field, no Dems are worse! Trump was right. See how we reversed everything?

I hope they all fall off a short peer.

Well yeah. Unless he broke a law, and they can get the numbers to both impeach and convict; he’s safe until the next election in 2 years or so.

If we take away their firearms, how do we expect six-year-olds to defend themselves and their fellow students against feral hogs?

Err...’cancel culture’ is shunning and shunning has been a thing for a long time. I mean just the first thing that comes to mind and it’s extremely recent in the history of shunning:

There are other, less visible things, like constituent services [1] and oversight, whose absence will increasingly cause issues, as well.

This is officially beyond uncomfortable and humiliating and, I’m here for it

My least favorite thing about the death penalty is that it forces the court system (and the public vicariously) to litigate which murderers are the *especially* bad ones who deserve this cruel and pretty rare punishment.

There’s no one else that has even close to a majority, so the likeliest result is McCarthy gets there on the 20th ballot or whatever after promising what’s left of the scraps of his soul to Boebert and Gaetz et al.

This is all so, so sad, but the part that really got me is this:

Always interesting to see self-avowed champions of liberty blatantly take a page out of China’s playbook.

I’m down. Let’s do 2nd Christmas on Feb. 23. You can make it religious by saying it’s the first time Jesus slept through the night and gave Mary a fucking break because Joseph isn’t carrying his weight.

Why? You're concerned about someone who is so well-known they made a movie about him starring Nicolas Cage? He was doing a 25 year stretch explain to me why are you concerned about the merchant of death?

He really cost himself the vampire vote.

It would never happen, but Republicans need to admit that the only reason (well, technically two reasons when you get down to it) that they even ran Walker in the first place is because he is Black, and they wanted their voters to be able to say “see-I’m not a bad person; I even voted for a/the Black man!”

A horrible person, doesn’t know what position he’s running for, doesn’t know what pronouns are and he still only *barely* lost.

Gerrymandering and voter suppression, folks, ain’t it grand.

Congrats (and thank you) to all the folks who did the hard work to overcome those barriers and make this happen.

You’re alone on the ship, you’re out of fuel. You desperately search around the few asteroids in the system scavenging what little you can find. But you’ve stayed too long. You hear the footsteps, he’s here. And all that fills you is dread as they speak.
