“Woke” means alert to social injustice, such as racism. Same as when they decry “social justice warriors” or “anti-fascists”. They never explain why being FOR social justice is a bad thing (or for that matter, why being AGAINST fascism is a bad thing).

Oh the philosophers HAVE debated that. And there’s no consensus. That’s the problem. Religion is different because some religious authority just has to say “here’s how it is, folks!” and they are all supposed to bow their heads and say “amen”.
In the worst case, the current farce of a Supreme Court will at least further expose its hypocrisy and its nature as a political tool rather than an independent court based in the Constitution.

This has always been a thing. If you’re on either end of the political spectrum, everyone else is “the other side” because they don’t agree with you 100% of the time.
The problem is letting all these poors into the hospitals! If we just make sure that only the rich can afford medical care, this sort of thing simply wouldn’t happen!
