Personally I do not believe compromise has any value in and of itself. It’s meaningful in terms of what it can achieve and how.
It is a popular myth around here that Democrats get owned by Republicans more often than the reverse because Democrats are seeking compromise out of mere principle. Like it’s etiquette or something.
