I’m curious how common that large a donation is though. But even if you ignore the one who is a big Trump donor, what about the other having previously written for a Russian propaganda site that was involved in the 2016 election tampering? Together with Reade’s own pivot from bashing Trump and Russia in 2016 to…
Only the first three or four times I re-read the headline.
Nobody is making game companies do anything they don’t want to do. What most people around here don’t realize though is that much of the time, what game companies want to do is make money off the games they are creating. Around here, most people seem to want to pretend it’s all about the art or some bullshit like that.
I dunno. Even safer than wearing a mask in the store is not coming to the store at all. Especially if you’re a science-denying, probably MAGA nation dipshit, who doesn’t believe any of this Coronavirus stuff is real.
Better ratings than 9/11. I can tell you that!
It’s not like VR-exclusive games can’t be made, but it’s never gonna take off without a boat-load of games that offer at least SOME VR experience even if it’s just an add-on to an existing game.
I won’t be surprised if the story involves a few settlement defense events but hopefully only as part of the main story and not randomly occurring like Fallout 4. And of course only involving the one home settlement.
It’s explicitly mentioned in AC:Odyssey that Alexios and Kassandra are descended from the Isu and that it gives them power. The artifacts, Leonidas’s spear, Deimos’s sword, Hermes’s staff, the Apple of Eden, etc. basically give their bearers superhuman abilities.
It’s notable because although the last game offered this choice there was considerable speculation it might not be offered again after it was learned that people still played the male protagonist 2:1 in Odyssey. Not that I’m surprised Ubi doesn’t want to disappoint an entire third of its audience, but you don’t always…
Nope. Alexios was played 2:1. That’s still a third of people playing Kassandra though, so it makes sense they are sticking with the choice.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t sound like Preston Garvey will show up to tell you another settlement needs your help. It may just be the one home settlement you have to occasionally make decisions about. That doesn’t sounds too bad.
Or so your Templar history books say!
This remake is only a portion of the original, so yes... it’s going to have sequels. That’s the plan. If you want the whole story in one go, you’ll have to wait for all the pieces of it to release first before playing. Kind of like an episodic game. Or.. exactly like one.
I’m confused. I’ve played neither the original nor this remake yet.
Surprised the developers too apparently when they collected the data as Kassandra was pretty popular around the office during development too.
I would guess they are going to keep that rolling considering how well it worked out for them to delve into mythology/fantasy rather than just historical figures and events. I’ll expect Norse mythology to figure into this quite a lot.
I would guess they are going with it because (a) They are on a mythology/fantasy kick lately, and (b) Norse mythology is more familiar/popular in the west where they do most of their sales than anything from China or Japan. Norse mythology is also more recently popularized in the Marvel movies with Thor and other…
The thing I like about the whole series is how often they do things differently from game to game. It’s not like they just crank out AC 2K20. They usually have something different about the gameplay, mechanics, or story that we haven’t seen before. And like clockwork someone will say, “Okay it’s fun but I don’t…
I’d love to see this confirmed. Alexios was still chosen by the majority but if I remember right it was a pretty sizable minority that went with Kassandra... like a third or so.
