You could be right about that, it all depends on the type of pressure the military finds itself under. I guess we will have to wait and see, perhaps the next big war.

I seriously doubt that Peugeot’s lineup is going to change. They’ve got a bulletproof team of legendary names, all of whom are to one one degree or another capable of some actual teamwork. They don’t need someone like Al-Attiyah. Besides, they’ve already got 4 Frenchmen and 1 Spaniard; how would Qatari fit in?

Spot on! And more behind the scenes stuff; how the race is being run, from mechanics and doctors to spectators, although they usually throw that in during the rest day, but not enough of it.

Well, amateur motorcycle riders usually spend up to 100 000 dollars on a race, depending on how determined they are, the entry cost is 20k and the new Bowler EXR costs slightly more than 200 000 dollars. But since the older and used Wildcats and Nemesis’ are cheaper, you might be right.

    Only after chugging this:

True. It should at least be 45 minutes, given the length of the race, the number of competitors and its general awesomeness and importance. In the past years, I’ve been sneaking on Australian SBS coverage, but this year I haven’t been able to find a good VPN.

Where did you get that? Of course they are going to Le Mans. Porsche is the one that is not doing the GTE in WEC this season.

Then, Iranians retaliate with proper missiles, also, a couple of US-related facilities in the ME get blown up, US retaliates for that and we get a mighty shitstorm.

They are special kind of crazy and we all know it. But watching these boats launch missiles near a cargo ship and knowing that they landed relatively close to a carrier....that’s another thing. It also looks pretty pathetic - just think of it, launching (probably) unguided rockets in front of a carrier battle group.

Wow! I’ve never seen compensation behavior on international stage before! Iran has to be the ultimate bro-nation.

    No? Challenge accepted.

That’s great, but what about these guys:

But the thing is, those women who end up in the infantry are going to be exceptional. When most people hear “women in combat”, they think of the worst case scenario, when in truth, those who make it will probably do so because they are very motivated to do so, not to mention fit for it, in every way.

Goddamn, for that money you can buy one of these and go to Dakar (all costs included):

I’ve got nothing interesting to say, so F-35 sucks.

True, another week to go. A lot of drama today in the bike category. Let’s hope that Jalopnik (Black Flag) makes an article out of it. There is quite a lot of stuff going around and too little of it ends up here.

Not many dunes this year.....although Peugeot seems to be fast everywhere, and RWD buggies are actually supposed to be better in the dunes. But then, Loeb’s co-driver has no experience with this stuff either.

But just because of that I don’t want Loeb to win it this year. The world needs to see that as amazingly as good he is, that he is also not unbeatable; that he is human. We need to see him under real pressure for the first time since 2007, or even 2004. And if he wins on the first time out, it can make others look bad.
