@Benguin the Albatross: I'm with you. Along with 'The Godfather II', these are the purest example of a sequel being better than the original.
@eriegz: You can see an animation of the elipse at:
It certainly does do stuff. I use mine to rewind DVDs.
@NamelessFragger: Could you not rest the foot pedals on a book, or something? Wouldn't that be easier than custom building a desk?
Psychologically, the more deeply you mentally process something, the more likely you are to remember it. In this case, the difficult to read font makes you think about the message in more detail and reinforces it in memory.
@B_Ren: Talk to a podiatrist. I'd always been in the same boat. I got prescription orthotics and haven't looked back. Wish me luck - I'm running my first marathon in 4 weeks!
@MaCuban: I was under the impression that the "manual blur" that they used for that was an alcohol swab rubbed on the individual film frames to blur under the speeders. I may well be wrong, though.
@kschang: And you can ask it to display "starred" apps at the top of their respective folder.
@kettlewhistle: It certainly is - and it sucks. I'm just getting over a bout of it myself.
@Pook365: I'm the opposite. I have trouble finding watches that that don't jut out ridiculously over the edges of my surprisingly thin wrists. Luckily this ([www.nixonnow.com] sits nicely for me.
"I'm sorry, that email address doesn't match an entry in our database. Please re-enter your email address."
I have a piece of sticky tape on the wall that lines up with the driver's head when they're the right distance in. Took three seconds to place and cost about 0.2c.
@blash: I love me a bit of Thunderbird. But then again, that's only to read newsgroups, rather than email.
@diamonddnice: I don't think that's the case. As far as I was aware, Demonoid doesn't have a ratio policy. I could be wrong, though.
@ArleenCabango: When I get asked, "What's on your screen?", I like to say, "A little porcelain kitty, and some post-its."
@dcheetham: Oh, never mind - I sorted it out. The Thunderbird Portable readme says that the profile folder can be moved but must stay as a subdirectory of the Thunderbird folder. This isn't true. You can chuck a few "..\"s into the relative path, and put it wherever you want (like a portable Dropbox folder).
@orev: I did try that. Although I found that the installed version was significantly faster than the portable version. Could have just been on my setup, though.
Oh, and does anybody have any tips for getting the installed version and a portable version to use the same synched (via Dropbox) profile folder? I've got portable Dropbox synching onto a USB with portable TB, but can't get poprtable TB's *.ini file to correctly access the portable Dropboxed profile folder from the…
@Gotlactose: It's idling on my XP box, using just under 39MB of my 2GB. In contrast, FF3.5.5 with six tabs open is using about 255MB. YMMV
