@Asian Angel: Any tips on getting the portable version to use the same profile folder as an installed version. I'm tying to get a synch going by dropboxing my profile folder between work, home and a USB.

I use it purely for text based usenet groups (I know, who still does that?!), and I would *really* love to see a toolbar button that toggles between "View all threads" and "View threads with unread" - it's a real hassle mousing through the menus, and the ThreadViews experimental extension doesn't look like it's going

@dcheetham: There you go guys - you're all loaded up. Except for you, Wulfdragend, I don't know your email address.

I think there's one fairly big danger that isn't mentioned here (though it is touched on).

I've got five.

Anyone else read Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson? I'm having flashbacks.

@dremits: My install of Comodo firewall on XP gives me a good little traffic indicator graphic in the tray.

I love the Logitech Trackman, too. Got my first one after reading the recommendation in the old post that was linked. Bought more since, and I don't plan on switching back.

@Popstar Dave: Finally worked out a solution to this. I got tipped off to the FF extension NoRedirect [addons.mozilla.org] that gives me a google search rather than the OpenDNS search page from any words typed directly into the Awesome Bar. #opendns

@rpjrugby: I voted for Avast, too. I like having a nice person tell me that my "virus database has been updated." #antivirus

I'll stick with Faviconize and session restore. I don't want to wait until I click on the tab for it to load. I'm going to check them anyway, so I want them to load with the browser. #featuredfirefoxextension

What was the matter with their old slider bars to choose how much of each thing you saw. I'm cool with a "highlights" and "everything" feed, but let us choose what gets classed as a highlight. #facebook

Am I the only person that uses the "sort by oldest" for *everything*? I want to read things in the order they were published and intended. It's that simple.

@NessaCadosneep: Oh, I missed this comment when I first read through them. I'm having the same problem, and looking for some tips, too. #opendns

Here's a request for help if someone has a chance:

A lot of research into memory shows that you're more likely to remember something if it's processed more deeply by your mind.

@gopanthers: I've loved Snap Links Plus. Great flexibility, as well as setting it to open all links, you can also use it to "Save link as..." all links.

I don't even bother with the search box. I've got 'g' set up as a search keyword in firefox, so I just type "g searchword" into my address bar.
