Photos, YES; however, they have to be pertinent photos. I just read an article about “10 best” plants for privacy. The (worthless) pictures they showed were close up photos of the flowers. If you’re talking about privacy, the pictures should illustrate the ability to block vision.

Came here for 2 things.

One of the guys in my office in the 80s was a Swedish doctor named Ulf. It’s pretty tame compared to other oddball names.

Discussion is broken for slideshows.  At best I can see one reply no matter how I sort the list.  Clicking Pending gets exactly one reply.

Earthquakes are absolutely terrifying.

I haven’t done any research, but I have many observations. We adopted a child from Russia and merged into the Eastern European adoption support groups as a hobby. It does seem that children under the age of 12 most often will not have an accent as they learn English.

You could wait.  So far about 3 billion people have been vaccinated.  How much longer are you going to wait for the non-deaths to roll in?

Senator Johnson is one of those deluded people, so the answer is yes. He collected scientists who support his delusions, so what appears to be an objective second look at the science is more of a group of scientific misfits misquoting or misinterpreting the good science. I have a couple of observations from my own

The scary thing to me is how many people can be influenced by a few deluded individuals. I can understand that a delusional ex president has a large following, but apparently all it takes to start your own cult is to have adjacent ideas to that guy.

Have you ever shot a handgun? ...without ear protection? ...inside a steel can? ...with broken glass flying all around?  ...and deteriorating vision due to the broken windshield?  ...and the 60 MPH wind blowing in through the broken windshield?  In his head it seemed like a good plan until the first shot was fired.

Clearly Musk has never actually used a pickup truck for anything.  Honda and Chevrolet finally learned the lesson about slanting the sides of the bed.  Tesla has yet to learn the lesson.

Reading replies seems to be broken on the Slideshow topics.  All the less reason to use Slideshows.

Apparently right wing radio host, Glenn Beck, currently has Covid for the second time.  He’s taking Ivermec and some other stuff instead of seeing a real doctor.  He claims he’s getting better, but then he admitted it was “going to his lungs.”  Uh, Glenn, that’s not getting better.

So the insurance company finds the money somewhere to rebuild the buildings and replace the belongings. For the most part, it would be American labor receiving the “benefit” from the insurance payout from the fire.  If they buy American and Buy Local, then most of the losses return as an economic stimulus.

This is a sad situation. My wife and her sister own a condo as a rental in a beach community. As a service to the renters, I created a notebook of QR codes linking to driving directions for points of interest (restaurants, art galleries, bait shops, etc.) and for the restaurants with online menus, QR codes linking to

And my sister...who sent $9,999 to Nigeria...twice. Sheesh!

Exactly! There is a difference between LIVE tv and LOCAL tv. I’ve never had cable, but I have stayed in hotels and visited relatives with cable. Cable seems to offer live TV, but they don’t offer local. I’m 20 miles from the antenna farm south of San Antonio. I get roughly 40 channels OTA with a $30 antenna sitting on

Does this mean that Americans spent $145 B among other Americans to recover from damages caused by climate change?  Or did $145 B fly to the Chinese economy?

Watch for this guy to die from a mysterious malady, possibly radiation poisoning.

Exactly. It’s the “which melts in the spring to form runoff that replenishes rivers, streams, and reservoirs,” part that is iffy. One warm rainfall between now and April and this snowpack washes away too fast to be absorbed. In other words, watch out for flooding and no aquifer fillage.
