I don’t wear sweatpants or gym attire on planes, but I definitely don’t wear pants or jackets either. Parked planes are basically the same temperature as hell in many places, so that rules out layers of clothes. Dressing nicely is for the northern latitudes and isn’t fun in warm areas.

Tesla is installing Superchargers in urban areas for exactly this reason: fast charging for people that can’t put a charger in at home. I’ve got a Supercharger station being built in my neighborhood as we speak in Austin, TX.

Combustion engines need to go away, and go away fast. The entire concept is destroying our atmosphere, no matter how “efficient.”

Modern Honda cars are exceptionally unattractive. There, I said it.

From what I understand, they offered her another position at the company. Feelings do matter, apparently.

Where’s your commute?

If you reserved a year ago, you wouldn’t have to wait. But either way, I can tell you’re not a Tesla kinda person. That’s cool. Enjoy your internal combustion car!

“Even though an electric car meets over 90% of my driving needs why would I buy one when an internal combustion car meets 100% of them?”

With the full-glass back of the Model 3, a hatch wouldn’t have worked. There has to be a supporting member beneath that full-glass that a hatch would have made very hard to do. Also, the hatch opening would have gone almost all the way to the front doors of the car because of the glass.

What did everyone expect? Any product maker in the world would be referring to the lowest priced model when they are talking about the starting price. All of the options (Autopilot, paint, etc) are already offered on the Model S and X and the prices are the same or slightly better for the Model 3. I really, really

...they’re going to make a truck. They announced it. Electric motors are infinitely better at towing/hauling than gas. That’s why freight trains are driven by electric motors. Also, you don’t seem to get how much better an electric drivetrain is over a gas engine. Mustangs and Camaros? The paradigm has changed

About 7 or less miles of driving added for every hour charging on a 110v outlet. Most, if not all, will need a 220 NEMA outlet to charge overnight.

Drive my commute, in a manual, through the heart of Austin, TX every day. You’ll understand then.

No traffic. No parking lots. We can remodel all house garages into usable rooms. Cities will be totally redesigned. Street parking can be turned into usable space like outdoor cafes or parks. Many roads can be removed because the new efficiencies will make them redundant. Auto manufacturers will make cars modular to

Good thing you’ve decided to actually drive one before you make up your mind, right?

I happily plopped my money down and know full-well what to expect: a lot of waiting and uncertainty. That’s fine with me. I knew going in.

Missing a real supercharger network and the Bolt not being able to charge very quickly overall likely aren’t helping the situation. GM is obviously not all-in yet.

Most (if not all) of the elements we use in modern EV batteries are 100% recyclable. That means that, after we get some cars and battery packs and Power Walls out in the real world, they’ll be fully recyclable once they are depleted. This can go a long way toward solving our future demand.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he already recanted that it was Autopilot. Lol

Thank Zod we have those wonderful dealerships in Texas to protect us from direct sales models like Tesla’s.
