the last part of your comment was extremely rude for absolutely no reason. Really hate internet ragers, couldn't just leave the first informative part in without being a dick to the OP for not being fully accurate, have to personally attack them too. Merry Christmas.

they’re using an NFT framework that uses about as much energy as you posting that did to Kinja, because Kinja uses SSL.

Who cares if I miss something? It'd nit even that'll of stuff for crying out loud and it doesn't effect gameplay at all. Why is everyone so hellbent on they must be given everything if it's its stupid emblems and lackluster paints. Guess what there's events in games and times in games that have shit that we will meter

Why not ignore the BP? That’s what my friends and I are doing. You didn’t have a BP in Halo and you liked it before, right? I don’t think you’re approaching this from a regular person’s perspective anyway if your baseline is 1 hour a day and your max is 100 hours a week. This isn’t a MMO. They want people to come back

You lose a chunk of the player base though and for people who tend to stick with Halo for the long haul (like me), that is more important. People love to complain about MTX in games but they still play those games while doing so. People won’t complain about a game they don’t ever buy and play (well, that isn’t true

Or, here’s another take.

Physical media is all well and good but once the company shuts the games servers down...

Shouldn’t Destiny 2 be included in this list considering they basically vaulted the entire original version of the game?

That’s decidedly untrue. It’s not armor pieces (so far) but you can definitely get cosmetic colors through gameplay and doing the campaign, as well as emblems and charms.

This is what the other f2p games are charging. If anything, the Halo set up is the friendliest of the bunch. Pricing is obviously shit, but battle pass wise, they are the only one I know of that the pass doesn’t expire, or have a curve on getting the stuff in the pass.

I think I may actually be done with Kotaku, and gamers in general, now.

Its Available on Series X as well.  Series X ≠ Xbox One.

Solo complaining about teamwork in 2021...

I’m sorry but this isn’t reddit.

they only quip every so often, and most commonly when you’re dead.

You are talking about expectation more than anything else. They used to be sold together so they shall be for all time. To talk about the ‘value’ of a game or its components is a fool’s errand. Why does a 60hr JRPG cost the same as an 8hr Uncharted cost the same as a ???hr Skyrim/Fallout/Far Cry cost the same as a

I feel like it was purposeful. They wanted people to try objective modes. It is kind of like how Halo 5 launched with Warzone but not BTB. If it was available, how many people do you think would have bailed after 2-3 matches because it wasn’t BTB or Firefight? I mean, how much development time do people think it takes

what will they shriek about over on reddit once the game gets this?

Listen, is it annoying to not get a fully featured game at release? Absolutely, yes. Is it nice to have a game get released and feel smooth and fun with minimal bugs? Also yes. Do I wish it were still possible to get both of these things at launch in a big multiplayer game? Oh god yes.

Now playing

You somehow missed the HellBlade 2 gameplay trailer.
