This sounds strange, and I guess I just don’t understand people.  It sounds as though he just wanted a large collection of something so he can tell people that he has a famous collection.  What’s the point if you don’t actually care about what it is you’re collecting?  How sad of a person is this guy?

Probably not, the only way they’d be worth anything is if they were in near mint condition and pulled from a first edition Legend of the Blue Eyes pack, the famous English version with the art shown in this article was from Starter Deck: Kaiba and is almost worthless even in good condition.
