Just took my son to his first dirt track race last Friday. A friend of a friend was racing and I figured it would be fun to see him race, and we were told we might be able to get pit access after the races too. I know I've said this in other places before, but it warrants repeating. If you've never seen a sprint car race on dirt before, you are missing one of the greatest shows around. The racing is phenomenal, and the cars seem to work by magic. My personal recommendation is to sit as near to turn one as possible. Watch

Would you rather slam into a fence in aforementioned nearly 1000HP car or slide down a gentle slope to a run off area. Tracks are fenced to protect spectators not drivers.
