I think celeb endorsements do move the needle for young voters who are disconnected to the actual policys of the candidates. They trust and like the celeb therefore they are more inclined to trust and like their candidate endorsement.

They are pretty cheap and durable relative to other pants. Not to mention they are pretty versatile in that they can be easily dressed up or dressed down. 

When I think of Taylor vs Kim-Ye I recall she called out Kanye but Kim had the receipts. It didn’t ruin her rep, but she definitely looked worse out of the two.
