I went to private school and we had an abundance of rules like this including that if you texted in class the teacher could take your phone and give it to the principal. Depending on how many violations, he may or may not give it back.

This is the thing about private school and charter schools. They have stricter rules that students have to adhere by. It sucks, but its what the parents signed up for. 

They move around quite a bit and can quickly end up as the gate keeper to a role you really want. I always suggest being direct but respectful to the person. You may think they are of no use to you but its always surprising who can pop up at the most inconvenient time

I understand where you would say its the sellers responsibility to get the item into the customers hands, but to be fair, this isnt always true.

I would also add, a nice rain jacket that actually doesn’t let in water. Something Gortex or similar that is versatile.

I would simply tell him that you cannot afford it. Whether you talk about it or not, generally siblings have a feel for how the other one is doing even if they aren’t particularly close.

I think you have a point about men handling rejection badly more often when it comes to relationships, but as another person mentioned, poorly handling rejection doesn’t exactly lean on one gender more than the other. Definitely think that notation at the beginning of the article is really unnecessary.
