I actually thought the movie Quartine did a great job and making the idea of “zombies” realistic. It’s been years since I saw it but if I recall the disease was a type of rabies that was causing people to get sick.

Winner winner chicken dinner. Smoking was at an all time low for teens yet here we are now with vapes. What makes it works is most smokers know its bad, and would like to quit if it wasnt so hard.

I agree with your idea of a race to the bottom as it pertains to uber, however in a gig economy, its only a race to the bottom if the value you provide or the work you do does not set you apart from anyone else competing in that market.

Agreed,most people get a taste of the “romantic version”of the entrepreneur. They get a taste of making their own hours and not having to listen to anyone. It’s fun and its freeing, but it comes with a ton of risks. People believe they can live that life and print money, but its a business and you have to treat it…

I agree, there are a lot of circumstances where a part time job or regular full time job may not be able to. However if a part time job or full time job wouldn’t allow a person to work around other responsibilities, uber would still be supplemental income as a person would not be able to earn any money otherwise.

I agree, but its like damn, after years of reporting on how celebs, people in power, and athletes poorly handled a scandal, you would think he would have learned at least what not to do.

Its shocking to me that anyone would say “ i am stuck doing uber”. I cannot figure out how a person could be stuck doing a gig that is 100% voluntary for less then minimum wage, when there are actual minimum wage jobs. That is unless that person really enjoys the freedom of uber and really wants to maintain that but…

It boggles my mind to hear people say “ I am stuck” driving for uber. I mean how can you be stuck driving for uber? What did people do before uber and lyft existed when they needed work?

You’d think a guy who has worked for years in media and news would have a much better grasp on how to handle scandal.
