I agree, additionally in situations where there is a huge difference in power, the court of “public opinion” is a huge equalizer. In a civil suit, she exposes him to public opinion which will tarnish his name/ legacy and she can walk away with monetary compensation.

Actually I would say that any shop that would like to refuse same-sex work should advertise as such prominently in their storefront and online. That way there is no confusion as to wear their brand stands.

I actually don’t think it would be a bad idea to force business who want to enforce their rights to not support gay marriage or make items for gay marriage prominently display that they don’t on their website and in their storefront.

Admitting privilege takes away the “struggle” or percieved “struggle” of them getting to where they did and therefore diminishes their achievements.

Exactly, in my city most “ starter homes” are being bought out by house flippers to make into rentals or be flipped into 400K single-family homes. If we cannot keep moderately priced homes out there for actual families and not corporations or investors, we’ll continue to have issues

Idk if this is just my neighboorhood, but after good-sized snow, not digging a path to your neighbor’s lawn for the mailman to walkthrough is kind of a dick move.

The one along these lines I see is where traffic in one line is stopped and one lane is free and moving. People in the free lane will stop and block the free lane in order to try nose their way in and merge in when traffic isn’t moving.

I think the big issue I see with zipper merging is people dont get when to stop and when not to stop. If you want to merge anywhere before the merge point, merge while traffic is moving and there is a gap.

I have seen people wipe down the handles of machines before and it actually drives me nuts. I know they are trying to be clean and wipe off sweat, but wiping down a rubber handled pull up bar or lat pulldown bar can make it a slippery mess and almost unusable for the next person.

I find that people bothered by this question, as I have seen in the comments section, are likely self-conscious about the fact they are likely hogging the machine and know it. This is a very polite way of saying “ hey, how much longer will you be”
