Latasha had just violently assaulted the store clerk. The disingenuous author decided to leave that out of the story.

She also violently assaulted the store clerk, but this author decided that that wasn’t worth mentioning.

Why didn’t you mention the fact that Latasha violently assaulted the store clerk? Just kidding, we know why.

Maybe the white people steal from their stores less? Just asking questions!

All of them? All Koreans do this? It almost sounds like you’re stereotyping.

Well she beat the shit out of the Korean woman while trying to shoplift.

Well 1. No one puts groceries in their back pack when they plan to pay for them. Even if she had the money on her. 2. A fight broke out between the two with her kicking the Korean womans ass so the Korean woman shot her. Latisha isn;t some innocent victim here and the Korean woman isn’t some stone cold killer. Lots pf

Who puts an item in their backpack before they purchase it? That’s no excuse for her murder, but seriously, who the fuck does that?

“I have Korean colleagues who like to ask “why did they burn the Korean stores during the riots???”(They don’t really care they just like to play victim)“

So let me get this straight. Black woman loved a product until they saw a lighter-skinned woman using it? And now they hate it?

So as a white woman with very curly, dry hair, I’m relegated to Sauve even though hair care products marketed to black women give me a better result?

Anyone can comment on anything. You aren’t the decider. And that is not what the comment said. Taking your beauty products less seriously will lead to a more harmonious life. Save the outrage for something appropriate and“you should just not have commented really”.

So because you didn’t see your hair style in the commercial that’s heavily edited so everyone looks amazing, you instantly think their product doesn’t work?

What strikes me as insane is your assumption that overly-sensitive, bitchy little social justice warriors will merely accept your comment in stride. How dare you express apathy over an artificial non-issue!

Are companies no longer allowed to target specific demographics with their ads? They already have the POC market cornered, so there is a lot more money to make in a demographic they don’t already control. They aren’t forgetting their existing consumers, they are trying to win new ones.

How dare you have an opinion!

You know, I thought this woman was crazy and wrong from the beginning. Then I heard the backstory, which the Stranger doesn’t even really dip into because it doesn’t fit the narrative that they want to drive with 15 sentences beginning with White Supremacy. Frankly, the Stranger staff is being a giant dick.

Serious question. If race is a social construct, how is she not black? There are plenty of black people who pass as white and plenty of white people perceived as black. If it’s all just a social construct, how is she not black?

Because it sure seems like if it’s to help school-age girls get into STEM, Jezebel is all for it...but if it’s to help boys with the problems boys have, then it’s sexist and excludes girls.

There’s a few things going on
