Perhaps this is a regional thing—but here, OB/GYN's who provide abortion services, also provide other services as well. So they couldn't know what you were going into the doctor's office for. So I don't think I understand their strategy.

For me it is bothersome because it means my body is up for critique, no matter what I'm doing. I can't just mind my own business and do my grocery shopping without having someone evaluate how attractive I am. What gives them the right to comment on my body or attractiveness?

There isn't, but there are going to be more plus sized women who are tall than straight sized women who are tall, because if you are 5'10" even a healthy weight would likely put you at a plus size.

I don't know, I've never seen anyone outside of high school act scornfully to someone for respectfully showing an interest. To be honest, depending on the circumstances, it can be very dangerous for a woman to be anything but super respectful when turning a guy down.

That was really harsh of your mom. Wow. It blows my mind that she made you pay feminine hygiene products and OTC medications when she had enough money to give allowances to at least 3 children.

In my past home state, clothing is not taxed. Also, in many places, OTC drugs and many first aid supplies (gauze, medical tape, etc) are non-taxable. I'm pretty sure toilet paper isn't taxed either.
