Years ago they made California Fruits Starbursts. Those are still my favorites.

In the book he’s I believe 22. Also, and not that I’m condoning this, but for my graduate program I read a lot of research, and a large chunk of gay men have sexual encounters with older men when they’re younger (teenaged).

Mine is 13 yr old me taking my mom to see Election (the Reese Witherspoon movie). I thought it would be a family comedy. What I got was blow jobs, porn, and statutory rape.

Is it weird that I misread the name and thought Violent Paley was one of Sarah Palin’s 22 kids?

Haha, mine too. I’d go for a B. Dalton and a Sam Goody, though.

Absolutely not. That’s what I find so infuriating about all these articles (particularly on Jezebel) about how Greta Gerwig should have been nominated. Listen, I’m a lady, but I don’t want to be singled out because of said ladyiness, but instead for actual accomplishments. I like Ladybird okay, but I wouldn’t rank it

That’s not what happened. Williams, along with others, decided to forgo her salary because she believed in doing the reshoots. Wahlberg apparently said he would forgo his salary as well, and then decided not to.

Yeah, shouldn’t the headline be “Michelle Williams forgoes salary for reshoots, Mark Wahlberg, however, is an asshole”

One thing I liked about the film was that it didn’t go in the direction I thought it would. I went in thinking that Woody Harrelson would be the villain, but it turns out that, actually, there is no evidence, and that’s why no one has been arrested. I think too many movies paint their villains and heroes in broad

I’m torn about the best director nominations. I’ve seen four of the films (haven’t seen Shape of Water), and really loved all of the films (more than Ladybird), and think all four of those directors deserve recognition. I want more women and POC to be nominated, but I don’t know who I would take out of the category.

In regards to the ex-husband, I didn’t think the scene “was played for yuks.” I thought it was played quite seriously, to show their relationship. Also, even though it isn’t really explained, I think he burned the billboards down because he was a cop, and he didn’t like the attention she was putting on Willoughby, who

I saw the film and it definitely made me think. If what happened in the film is true, then Tonya had an incredibly shitty mother who used to beat the crap out of her and emotionally abuse her, only to marry a guy who was even worse. It made me wonder how she would have turned out if her dad had raised her/she’d never

Agreed. They’d be damned if they do say something, and damned if don’t. I weirdly, sort of understand the thought that they should shut up and listen. I’d rather judge these guys for the way they live their personal lives (Guillermo del Toro is apparently very supportive of women).

I’m from Houston, and I wouldn’t call Tomball a suburb. It’s near Houston, but more in the boonies. To me, it would be like calling Arcola or Conroe a suburb of Houston.

It’s definitely dark, and violent and offensive at times, but my god, it has some of the best acting performances of the year in it. I’m so happy Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell won.

I think part of the problem was that “Get Out” was in the musical/comedy categories (which is supposedly easier to win). I think the voters probably didn’t vote for it because it’s not a comedy or a musical.

“niche actor”? girl, Gary Oldman is a GD legend!

Cuz ambassador sounds better than Ms./Mr. Nepotism

Dear lord, WTF is Kelly Clarkson wearing?!?!

Ah, “The Post,” another film I have no interest in seeing...
