Some ebikes do brake regen, but they simply don’t have enough mass for it to make much of a difference. Pedaling to regen doesn’t really make much sense. You might as well turn the motor down/off if you want to preserve battery power. If you’ve run out of juice, I doubt many people would want the pedaling to be HARDER
