The GOP influence is more that the workers now are in fear of the customers wrath because everything isn’t exactly how the customer expected it/they had to wait/they just want to take it out on a servant.

It’s mainly something I’m finding when I’m out with my SO. I usually set up a pot to brew first thing in the morning and start with that, she’s frequently running late so we wind up in a drive thru Starbucks because that’s what is within a half hour of us.

I stopped buying coffee over Covid because every place in the town where I work either had employees and customers who didn’t wear masks or didn’t wear them correctly and the only other place is Dunkin which doesn’t have OJ half the time and takes 10+ minutes to make me a wake up wrap.

Meanwhile, I cannot get anything other than standard medium housebrew from our local SBs past about 10 a.m.

I agree with you but primarily because of all the stupid “hacks” - it’s one thing to combine two syrup flavors you might not have thought of (raspberry + toffee nut crunch tastes like CrunchBerries); it’s another to ask your barista to blend something ridiculous into your frappuccino.

You can’t pay stupid people to not be stupid. The incentive to get vaccinated is protection from COVID. The penalty for not getting vaccinated should be you don’t get to participate in society anymore.

They serve “pig wings” at this joint in my neighborhood in Tampa with a cilantro lime sauce. More like a masitas de puerco.

I’d like to believe that, but after seeing claims online that the vaccine lotteries are just bribes to get the vaccine, I’m not sure that would change anything.

I expect that the majority going for these look at a $20 and think they can buy a banana with it. The only way out is a hard limit - 3 is a good number. If they want more they can order two drinks and a bucket. 

I’ve said this before, but Starbucks needs a customization charge in addition to the fee for the actual change. For example, if you already have 3 customizations then the cost of adding something else is whatever it costs plus $1.00 for the act of adding each customization after the third one.

Start posting names & photos of these monsters at the counter, the way grocery & convenience stores used to post bad checks for everyone to see.

Social media has made Starbucks customers even larger asshats than they were before.
