My mother used to make Bambi McMuffins for us when I was a child. Of course she called them that!

I ordered a rug in the shape of the Millenium Falcon for my husband's man cave for Christmas with about 4 weeks to spare, from ThinkGeek.com. When it arrived, it was the Captain America shield but there was still plenty of time to exchange. I let them know, and they sent me the new rug AND reversed the charge. I…
I've got a freezer full of venison right now, thanks to my dad's hunting. I live in the Midwest, in an area full of hunters, and I'm so surprised I'm still introducing people to actually eating venison all the time. As ground chuck, it is indistinguishable from lean beef, IMO. Steaks, sausage, everything that's good…
Nah I think this is the perfect attitude. Recognizing that people will eat meat, and insisting that we get the most out of what dies is probably the most rational possible response.
The weirdest thing for me is people who are ostensibly all about sustainability or lowering meat consumption for ethical reasons who also have the "do you know what gets used to make a hot dog" mentality. If you halve the meat you eat, but insist half the meat is not edible, you're not helping.
The crawfish in question are the introduced and non-native American form. They are invasive species that is out competing the local varieties and bringing in dangerous diseases and organisms. Here is a link to an article in the guardian talking about it http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2…
Nicely put. These animals are the other side of the coin to the over-farmed cattle. Between People going hungry, and these animals being thinned out for safety, hard to object.
So... is the food truck in Amsterdam? its not really clear in the article since you just mention Amsterdam as the persons home and holland a bit, but the mentions to US waste and Canadian geese make me think its in the US somehwere
Pretty sad if one of your proudest moments is brutally killing a living creature for no good reason.
Strange you mentioned Americans love for aquatic insects because I had crabs over the weekend (Maryland) and today on the way to work I was thinking just how weird crabs were. Their basically giant ocean dwelling spiders... more or less and I fucking hate spiders. But man do I love crabs.... Eating crabs that is.
Being veg, I should be a buzzkill (or so I'm told) but there is nothing wrong with this! The animals are going to die anyway, might as well eat them...if you like that sort of thing. I don't but knock yourself out.
Best boss I ever had was when I was working for a bank.
That is not the solution. "Go to college, get some student loans and graduate with upwards of $20k in debt!" thanks so much for the suggestion!!!!
This. Used to live juuuust outside of a pizza place's delivery area. Every time we called, they'd tell us we weren't in their delivery area and they'd have to check with the driver. Every time, without fail, sun, rain, snow, friday/saturday evening at 6:30, didn't matter, our pie was speedily delivered by a cheerful…
Agreed. And the manager sending the gift certificate to the crappy restaurant is a genius.
Not if you're my age. :)
I do this! I always thought I was just extremely weird.
I am not interested in seeing Cthulhu's baby pictures.
You didn't point out that there's Comfort Inn & Holiday Inn Express listed as the plaintiffs!
