Six Flags has three or four of them, two of them are at the same restaurant. One of the AMC theaters has six of them. I’ve not found them at convenience stores yet.

It’s true that when a person first uses the machine it takes them a while to figure it out, but I don’t see that being much of a problem now. And yes, there are often times greyed out selections and I end up going back to the counter and asking for a Coke. But I’d rather that be a problem some of the time than…
Generally, this is not true, if the regular machine is the same width. If the regular machine is several feet longer, then yes, several people use it at the same time without it seemed rude or having a lot of accidents.
They will usually get you a regular Coke from the drive thru area if you ask, and those of us trying to cut down can wait in line for a bit.
Okay, when at all possible, get a Freestyle Coke or something similar. I’m trying to switch, but diet cola usually just doesn’t do it for me, and usually that’s all there is. But, if you have a Freestyle Coke machine, there is still Diet Coke and Coke Zero and Diet Pibb and different flavored versions of all those,…
Now you’ve completely lost me.
Not really what we’re talking about. It isn’t an extra charge that comes at the end of the transaction.
Sure, we all have to say “would you like fries with that” or whatever. But I never said it in such a way that the person thought that they were getting free fries. And if ever a person didn’t know how much fries cost, they could then cancel the order for fries before they paid (and sometimes after, and once in a while…
The only thing I really have problems with is motel and hotel rooms. Regular sales tax is a bit less than 10% most of the places I go, so if a room is $50 a night plus tax, I should be getting a room for a bit less than $55 a night, cause everything else should be included in that $50. So if you got to a hotel site…
They don’t.
Management wasn’t paid per hour, but it worked out less than $4/hr. He made more money as a regular employee than the first tier of management. Was I not clear?
If you pay more for the tv than the groceries it is because some of the groceries are absolutely necessary and are not taxed at all. Like if you go to a garden place and buy seeds, the flower seeds are supposed to be taxed and the vegetable seeds are not supposed to be taxed. But often someone doesn’t know this and…
Okay, so some people who apparently have never been to a fast food place before are complaining about fried food.
But the tax on gas isn’t listed separately. I don’t go to the gas pump, pump ten gallons is bit less than three dollars a gallon, and then told I have to pay more than thirty dollars. Anything other than regular sales tax should be included in the price.
Yep. That must have been early 90s. I either wasn’t working or made around minimum wage, maybe $4.25 an hour. So I worked almost an hour to get some bread I thought was free. I would have been just as happy with whatever they gave out for free, which we didn’t even get because we got garlic bread instead. Thought the…
Sometimes, they don’t even know the answer.
This is the first I’ve heard of it.
When I used to work at movie theaters in the late eighties and early nineties, I actually saw someone get moved up to managment (supervisor or second assistant manager), and a couple of months later he asked for his old job back. As a regular employee he made $4 an hour (and never more than that, no holiday pay and no…
Back when we did not go out often to places with waitstaff, we went to somewhere and the first thing that the waitress did was get our drink order and ask if we wanted garlic bread. And it was the type of place where they brought you some sort of bread in a basket for free, so we were thinking that’s what it was, she…
You generally have two years to sue. You can spend the whole two years trying to get something you want from them, threatening that if you don’t get what you want now it will be worse for them later. It’s very common for people to wait the two years. Further delays are because of lawyers and judges.
