How is this not the bartender’s job. I’m constantly hearing that this is the server’s job and if you keep serving a drunk person you’ll get sued for whatever happens later.

Oh, this happened one time when I “volunteered” at Six Flags, before I had a job of my own. So we get to do stuff like fill soda cups, cause nobody knows you and they don’t trust you with money. Oh, I feel your pain with the not normal schedule. It bothers me if I am working an evening shift. And for several years my husband had the night shift, so I know what that is like too. Not eating breakfast, I get that, and when I had money for it I got special protein shakes to try to lose weight by mostly skipping…

It doesn’t seem that common, as no one has ever mentioned this to me, my mom isn’t doing this, the other aging relatives aren’t doing this, etc... And places that take care of the elderly still serve three meals a day, plus the people keep extra food in their rooms.

Well, we don’t know that they don’t. I have a bunch of diet related problems now, and I got them spending less than $20 a day for steak and BBQ. But I would think that fast food and this are equally bad for you.

If you don’t have money, you probably don’t go to a steak place that often.

My husband has done the opposite. He has taken the $25 bill, added $4 tip, and then somehow came up with $25 total. I know we caught it in time once (and made a mess of scratching things out on the bill), but since I know he did that once I wonder if he ever did it again and didn’t catch it.

Yes. I went in thinking salad stuff and saw stuff that was a lot less money somewhere else. I’m sure I could have made a lot of soup, but without buying a lot of other stuff it was going to be pretty boring soup.

Sure, like I said, if you will cook anything. And also if you will eat anything. I’m not allergic, I just know that I’d rather not do it.

These tend to be expensive and give me stuff that I don’t want. But it is a cool idea if you have the money and can cook anything.

I never eat a toxic potato in front of her (unless it comes with a meal I paid for myself and it doesn’t look that bad to me, and then I just hope that she doesn’t see it).
