Like every other online massively multiplayer game. You’ll be going along, happily shipping/mining/farming/whatever, and a gang of twelve year olds will come along and wreck your stuff while giggling in high pitched voices.

Yes. The books give you more info, more characters (Sam, Bull, etc!), more character insights, more detail/nuance, more of the world in general because it has time for that. (The tv series also does some fleshing out like showing how Bobbie was before she lost her squad.)

Do it poorly, and you’ll build resentment in viewers who know they’ll have to keep watching to get answers, but aren’t too happy at being manipulated.

What was amos supposed to do if he saw that holden tested himself for the protomolecule 36 times and also for all kind of other medical problems and keep was doing it over and over and over again? Plus acting like a mad man with some sort of invisible ghost. Also this happened on a ship, in space, around a ring,

Ashford is such a unique new presence.

Don’t run into a room waving your dick around. Thanks Miller!

They’re pretty good and unlike GOT, they keep a decent pace throughout the series. Final books are out in the next two years; no worries about the story wrapping up.

Definitely. I love it when actors understand those kinds of roles and pull them off. Guy should get an assist for every scene he’s in.

Correct, they’ve used it a few times. The idea behind Belter signs is that they are easier to do in a space suit with no comms, trying to work out how raising a middle finger would be harder

Speaking of reading ahead, can the book ppl tell us if Prax ever comes back, or is his (and Mei) storyline done?

Steven Strait has one of the toughest jobs - with the other actors getting more flashy parts, he’s got the “cipher” character that is a stand-in for the audience/key-to-everything/reluctant hero/fan whipping boy in the vein of Jon Snow or Harry Potter. He really held his own with both Thomas Jane and Wes Chatham this

One crazy thing to note, I’ve heard from many missionaries to Africa and Asia is that one of the biggest problems being faced is that the prosperity gospel has infected the church over there. So that one conversation on the Thomas Prince was very poignant for me.

i thought it was clever how the camera dude kept laying it on thick — it’s an old con. creepy guy does a bump and grope, and the mark is so awkwardly put off that he just wants to get away instead of noticing that you just picked his wallet. except in this case, it’s lingering in places where he shouldn’t be, under

If you’re going to read the books, Zach, note that there are several novellas and short stories that tie into the world, two of which apparently have been used for material in the show (I haven’t read them). So that might keep you occupied long enough to hold off on book 3 until the end of the season...

Every single goddamn second I was riveted. This episode has the urgent pacing of a first-class thriller.

Oh, man, that was amazing.

I LOOOVE this show! I’m so glad Amazon saved it!!!

Not to mention that if you fail to account for biological sex, you’ll wipe out entire species, not just half.
