My thought exactly.
At some point during this interview, I was all “Urk, please no”.
And it’s pretty clear he doesn’t care at all about what’s been happening for any character. He just want to do his thing, everything else be damned.

French-speaking internet dude here.

His french was heavily accented, yet understandable. Mostly. I believe he’s got a northern african accent, which would be consistant for the character.
Also he was amazing and snakily charming. And his accent was part of it, to me.

So IMO, you are both right, in a way :)

What this means for us:
Magneto introduced, killed by the movie’s end.
Doom introduced, killed by the movie’s end.
Kang introduced, killed by the movie’s end.
Annihilus introduced, killed by the movie’s end.
Well, in fact, *insert favourite villain here* introduced, killed by the movie’s end.

No. Just no.

I really didn’t like Metal (although I wanted to), and am finding Snyder’s run on batman to be overrated, in that he keeps putting elements that are way too over-the-top, and not in a good way. And it stinks of batman fetish, too. I’m tired of the “batman can beat anyone” trope.

What’s with that “generic blonde” look? The strucker girl here, the one on AoS, then Dagger... They all look the same to me. Are they clones? Is there some master mold for young female mutants?

Yes, after a pretty shitty start, I was pleasantly surprised by this show, and actually look forward to it. Contrary to, say, Flash or Supergirl :-(

Minor SPOILERS for Infinity War.

It’s worse. They’ve got a secure position, firing safely on opponents without ranged weapons and killing them by the score, and they drop all that for a big, stupid brawl where they’re outnumbered a zillion to one.

It was so CRAZYLY STUPID it took me out of the movie, where I had managed

To me, it was too proud of itself almost from the get-go.

Strangely, it means that I’ve found this season more watcheable than the 1st, now that they’ve abandonned most pretenses of philosophy

I’m so glad The Expanse has pulled back from Game-of-Thronesitis (...) right now I need a drama that is hopeful rather than nihilistic.

... and doesn’t have all is characters be more-or-less assholes whose only value, in the end, is determined by their ability to kill their ennemies by being even more devious.
Stretchin

A good writer can tell stories without the conflict revolving around a grim reality.

And here’s your problem, right here.

Having women die =/= having a woman die just to propel a man towards a story, most often vengeance.

Counterpoint: Every x-men was, is, or will be an omega-level mutant at some point.
Including gambit in his mini-series.

Vaccines are being forced on us by big pharma! They want to make lots of money by killing us!
Luckily, there’s the industry of homeopathy, selflessly fighting to bring us colored sugar, all for a veeery modest price!

David is most likely a sociopath and needs to be taught what is acceptable since I doubt he ever got that education.

Him being Omega?

I took it as meaning omega-level mutant, one of those very rare, extremely powerful mutants. That is, about half the x-men, their pets, and their ennemies, these days.

Nonsense.

In the comics, Legion is his codename, like Cyclops or Storm, due to his myriad personalities, each with their own power.
Here, they make it sound like some kind of transformation into some eeeevil overlord of eeeevil badness

Oh, nice!
I didn’t notice it, thanks!

This is my first truly disappointing episode of Legion because they made Syd into a COMPLETE AND UTTER MORON TO MAKE THE STORY WORK!

Yes, this was very cringe worthy.
I try to rationnalise it by saying it was a metaphor for farouk mind-hypnotizing her, but even if that was the idea, it was very badly done.

I finally gave up on Flash and don’t really plan on watching an other CW superhero shows.

Even more so, I’d say batman doesn’t need any criminal. He exists because of them, but would be quite happy if this wasn’t the case.
