There was no logic. I chalk it up to he knew what he was doing. A reasonable person would’ve slowed. We all know what’s going on around the country. He intended to hit someone. Period. 

How do you say a man bypassed a barrier closing a road being used for a protest, drove in violation of the speed limit, and didn’t intend harm?

It’s now being updated that he had to drive through a set of traffic barriers to do this.

And he may have had nothing happen to him. He could have also ran the opposite direction or into the bushes and hid. Was there any indication that the group was violent before they thought that they were being attacked by the driver?

Updated Tuesday, June 2, 2020 4:22 p.m EST— It is now being reported that Vechirko drove through the barriers meant to prevent traffic on the freeway.

“Gov. Tim Walz and Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said Monday that it doesn’t appear that Vechirko intentionally drove on the highway or tried to cause harm.”

Agreed. This is intimidation and incitement. 

The police are out of control, and their escalation is just making things worse. This is not what “protect and serve” should look like.

I agree the violence needs to stop.  So tell the police to stay the fuck away from the protests, since they’ve done nothing but be an accelerant since this all started.

The police were absolutely out of control this weekend.  Running people over.  Breaking into people’s cars, tasing them.  Threatening people standing on their own porch.  Slamming people into the concrete.  Firing indiscriminately into crowds.  Trump looked at that and thought “Not brutal enough.”  The police…
