Siri? Underwhelming? It does exactly what it's advertised. You guys keep complaining about apple reality distortion field but just won't give the company a break even in its minor mistakes - even if it's in a software they told everyone that it's in beta stage. Siri isn't perfect, but call it "Bing" and keep claiming…
Thing is google is updating their maps app in Android and iPhone maps is now behind the race, technically speaking. One awesome feature is that the maps in android are now vector based, meaning they can be loaded way faster and only need to be loaded once and then zoomed in without losing quality. Google, of course,…
I mean Apps that live entirely on the cloud and can be accessed through any device.
Siri is a natural vocal UI. The best one in the market right now.
Mark my words: Next step for Apple are iCloud Apps.
I see your point, and I really think iTunes is a huge mess... but I don't see that as a part of the OS. And you are right, sir. But in my comment I wasn't talking about Tiger or any earlier versions of software.
Man, i think OSX tends to be minimalistic mostly for the past 7 years or so (which in tech we should count as dog years - almost 20). Its OS only gives you what is necessary. If you take away the bar with the 3D icons, what will you have that its not absolutely colorless, strict to the point and practical? Just…
Apple has been minimalistic almost to the extreme with the interface of OSX and iOS. Apart from the fabric texture used for background here and then that haves no intention to mimic anything, the thing is all gray/white. They even removed the color of Lions sidebar icons. And that's fine! Thing is, with modal…
Most of you guys are missing the point here.
Silver and Crisis City are in the game. Probably will be in the next trailer.
You, sir, are way over the top of the Maslow pyramid.
Let me clarify. The present is to think about UI for "normal" users in a way that they are extremely simple, intuitive, gesture based and stripped out of the bigger part of operational that pro users need to deal with. Removing all the barriers from the user to the use in a broad sense, so that almost anyone can feel…
Well, he is not comparing the OS, he is comparing UI. 2 UIs aimed for tablets. That's pretty fair.
While I HATE some of the changes in pro interface, like the clusterfucked windows explorer, metro looks amazing. I'm an apple user for years now, but metro DOES look like the future.
Well... that ribbon.... ugh.... what a clusterfck of caos.
Now, now. I am insulting no one. I am just stating i am different.
The right part of his body is slghtly unproportional, his face looks airbrushed and there is a crop mark in the middle of his neck.
Ugly. Next.
