I got the feeling the ads were more than simply non-targeted; they were "extreme-polar-opposite" targeted designed to motivate free users to upgrade to premium. Listening to Jack Johnson music got me rap music ads which really blew the mellow. I upgraded to premium and have been very happy since.

Same goes for the Ninja Kitchen System blender which is currently in heavy infomercial rotation. Most Google results are spam / astroturf from bogus URLs with no listing on Amazon.

@The Name's Ash78, Housewares: Agreed. I recently bought a game from Amazon for $28. 6 days later they sent me an email advertising the same item for $15. I called India and was told that since they no longer have a price drop policy, I would need to reorder the item at the lower price and send back the

There's also a nice piece of freeware called Stickies 6.0 which lets you "attach" notes to any webpage, as well as put notes on your desktop screen. It's even networkable for sending notes to co-workers or home computers.

@VaguelyArtistic: Just for the record, I didn't suggest you put the cap in your pocket. Heck, if I did that it would wind up in the washing machine 90% of the time and I would be left wandering around the house muttering "Where's that dang lens cap?" :)
