Dear people, you know that lever next to the gear lever*, the one you can pull up or put down? Yes that one. Its called a “Parking” break. The hint is in the name. Use it.

Thats a very different Trailblazer to the one we get down under...
Unusual take, but this reminds me of the 90's SL. Huge presence, great looks and a genuine cruiser. The SL is nothing of its former shell. This is the first Lexus I have genuinely wanted, and if I were 30 years older and in the market for a convertible cruiser, this is the one I’d have.
Except GM is utterly useless at making cars. How is it that they sell unprofitably Opel/Vauxhall to PSA and within two years Opel/Vauxhall is making a profit? GM purchased Daewoo and instead of leap-frogging Kia/Hyundai into making world class Japanese beating cars, they turned out mediocre garbage. Outside of the USA…
I don’t live in the UK... as I mentioned above, there are plenty of options, but what I really like is the Ford Explorer which we can’t get, so a 7 seat Edge would be great. The fact that it doesn’t have 7 seats and is pitched in our market as a competitor to the CX-9, Acadia, Highlander, Pathfinder, Santa Fe and…
I think you missed the part about living in a RHD market. The only minivans for sale are either JDM imports (I won’t buy one as I’m a snob), the Kia Carnival and the Japanese Honda Odyssey - no thanks. My wife will not drive a van (V-Class or VW whatsit)
It won’t be a new platform, it will be a 3 series platform, just as the current 2 series is
So this is basically the Chrysler-Fiat merger but on crack.
No, the 135i did not handle like an ‘86. But as a highway cruiser and daily driver the BMW was clearly the better choice. I miss that car every single day...
My take on this is the following: When the ‘86 came out, I wanted one. I was going to buy one... then I realised for a teeny weeny little bit more money I could get into a used BMW 135i with a manual, so I did that. With the Supra I feel the same way. For a little bit extra I could get into a mildly used M4. And thats…
To get me into a Mitsubishi? Easy I’d buy a Triton, its well priced, well spec’d and drives nicely. BUT I don’t live in North America. However the rest of their lineup is either ancient, compromised or just total junk.
I think if this had a third row I would buy one. As it stands, you can’t get the Explorer in our market (right hand drive), we need 7 seats in our next car and I really can’t find anything that I really like. For some reason I am not the biggest Mazda fan and the CX-9 just doesn’t do it for me. The Highlander is nice…
I like the insanely large grille on the 7 and X7. They scream, “get out of my way poor person” and thats fine, they are very, very expensive cars. However on the more modestly priced BMW’s I like a more subtle grille.
I just can’t get my head around this logic. I’ve worked in sales for over 10 years and I still can’t figure out how car dealers can still get away with how they operate. I am open, transparent and honest with my customers and you know what they appreciate it.
Its not just Europe in New Zealand and Australia here are the following American cars that are sold: Entire Jeep range. RAM 1500, 2500 (low volume re-production in RHD). Chevrolet Camaro and Silverado 2500 (low volume re-reproduction in RHD). Ford Endura (Edge). Holden Acadia (re-badged GMC) Holden Equinox (re-badged…
Whilst thats true, they are mostly designed and built by Ford Europe...
Just another story... not a commute per-se but when we were living in Brisbane there was a lot of rain and I mean a lot. There was light flooding and some streets were impassable. As a consequence the rail was down. Now my office was about 10 mins from my house. My wife however worked in the centre of the city and had…
I live in the inner East and Bays suburbs of Auckland and work on the North Shore. With daycare drop-offs/pick-ups my commute is about 35-40 mins around 25km each way. The best thing though is that I go against traffic, going to work I sail by at 100km/h watching all the people crawling into the city and the reverse…
They launched in New Zealand about 2 years ago. And now they have just pulled out. They have sold 47 cars this year. Not month. Year. I know we are a very small market but someone didn’t do their homework before launching here did they. Nissan has major problems and I don’t think backing a loser brand like Infiniti is…
When I was an Account Manager working in rural New South Wales, this would have been amazing to have in my VE Commodore Wagon! I spent forever trying to sort the seat/steering wheel out, so I could work comfortably in between appointments. This thing is amazing! Why don’t they make this anymore!!!
