Also, she shouldn’t have looked like she wanted to be there because she was being called in on Christmas day! Not many people are thrilled to have to work on Christmas.

It would apply to the extent that you can’t prohibit access to people with allergies. So if a preschool rejected your child with a serious peanut allergy because they weren’t comfortable monitoring him, or having to possibly us an epi-pen, then you might have a case against them.

A registry without a party is just a shakedown of friends and family. Of course the shower itself is also a shakedown, since the parent(s) to be fully expect to get more in gifts than the party cost. But at least there’s an effort to treat their guests.

One very underrated film that I really like is 2001's Frailty, directed by Bill Paxton and starring himself along with Matthew McConaughey and Powers Boothe.
