You are correct. The franchisee owns the restaurant, and only they have the power to set prices. Taco Bell can hold all the promotions they want, but the can’t force all the franchisees to participate. This is why all franchisers have to put a disclaimer on their advertisements.

The catch there is that all they are saying is that the sides change seasonally. That doesn’t mean they are locally produced, or fresh. Apples keep very well and pumpkin puree can be kept frozen for up to a year.

Yes. It was absolutely young Elliot. We’ve seen him before - most recently in the previous episode when Elliot was dying. Mr Robot, Elliot’s mom, and young Elliot all gathered together, wondering what was going to happen to them when Elliot died. Mr Robot said they would all go away.
