I assumed Germain meant they were foreshadowing IG-11 avenging his ‘dad’ not that IG-11 killed Kuiil - though that might just be because it’s a plot point I’m anticipating

Yup. K came here to say the same. I thought it was relatively clear that the Bikers gunned him down and swooped up the kid.
“ We might safely assume the Mandalorian was right and IG-11, no matter how Kuiil reprogrammed him, is still a killer.”
This was my thought as well, unless the implication is supposed to be that he and his people were enslaved even before the Empire rose to power, and that their slavery continued under the empire...?
On the one hand I’m happy that somebody finally recognizes The Lion King 2019 as being an animated movie, but why the crap is it nominated for best anything? That film is a pale, watered down retread of the 1994 movie.
All I know is that the Emmys and The Golden Globes each have one last shot each to get one of the best shows of the decade an award. The Golden Globes HAD two, but they forked it up.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, proudly:
My order of reasons why I’m excited for this movie from high to low
Russian Avengers! In Soviet Russia, we avenge you.
To anyone:
I’d imagine most of us were kids when shows like Transformers, He-Man, Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears and Ninja Turtles pretty much solely existed to peddle toys to us. You’ve got a chip on your shoulder for something that isn’t new.
Baby AT-AT is the cutest!
Get those stupid human babies outta here! Enough of that shit on Facebook....
Disney owns Jim Henson Muppets so Star Wars Babies is next I guess?
Like many snobby geeks (which may be redundant) and basically anyone familiar with Lindelof I bypassed this, but out of curiousity I’ve been reading the recaps here—-especially when they mention something from the orignal series—-and I have to admit it sounds fairly interesting.
The chances of it being a coincidence falls apart when you realize the very similar names of the companies. Plus they’ve been making a *lot* of sideways references to modern politics in the supplementary materials (AOC has been nominated to the Supreme Court according to the Peteypedia)
One of the writers of the episode made it pretty clear it was the intent in an interview.
I hope they don’t recreate the Rebels Maul fight in live action. It was perfect as it is. Furthermore, Maul returned in animation and it is fitting that his final fight be in that medium too. Still upset they stuck him in Solo.
Should I dare to admit that I haven’t yet seen this one? Hopefully, it will be available on Netflix or Hulu this year!
Counter point.
