Just splendid. Only bowlcut boy Davis could screw up a sure thing that was the Raiders going to Vegas. As a (now former) chargers fan, it is nice to see the NFL’s shady machinations and city blackmailing schemes colossally backfire.

I agree. One thing I’ve mentioned/bitched about (as a disaffected Republican) was that Trump played the media like a fiddle during the republican primaries. No matter what he said or did, every monday morning there he was talking to frickin Stephanopolous in NYC.
At the very least, it will give us another opportunity to see a Baldwin Trump on SNL, which is probably worth choking back our proverbial vomit for one more debate.
You forget the fact that yes, that legislation was passed. But it was so unpopular, it allowed the rival party to gain power (Thomas Jefferson and co.) and it died out some two years later. Shit, as horrible as it was, it had a shorter legislative life than say the patriot act or our current drug war.
The bitter irony here is that Arlington literally gets no love from their current deals. Superbowl at Jerry world? Packers stay in Dallas and Steelers in fort wo. Game day at a great college football matchup? ESPN shoots from downtown fort worth. The citizens of Arlington are literally subsidizing dfws sporting needs…
