And, It works perfectly under Wine!!! Running this new version under Ubuntu 10.04 with the stock Wine no changes.

The iPhone/iPod Touch setting works without any changes on my G1 and on my Galaxy S - one of the lowest and highest end phones. No need to make those other changes.

Here's what could make Wave huge: using wave as a platform for social applications. Look at "Words With Friends" on the iPhone, and you'll see that with the right API, Wave is all that a developer really needs to centralize the game-state even when one or both of the "players" is not connected to the network.

@Ajh: If you've ever worked on a team that had a chat room, then Wave is a great replacement.

@Mxx: I feel the same way. Why add the part about "most MP3 Files Sound Fine"? Why do I have to think that almost all MP3 files sound fine or else use FLAC? Can't there be something between?

VOTE: OpenSSH - take a$80 external 1TB hard disk, attach it to a $100 sheevaplug (which comes with ubuntu), and you can log into it from anywhere and drag your files over via SFTP.
