If you’re going to call others imbeciles, you may want to understand that the worldwide price of a new car is not over $50k. It’s not even north of $50k in the US.

But most RAV4 hybrids aren’t in the higher trims from what I’ve seen on the road. In my small neighbourhood alone there are two XLE hybrids which is a significant difference from a Touring CRV

Ah yes, nothing says patriotism like forcing the colors of your flag onto a bridge. It’s not encouraging public service, or volunteerism, it’s bridges can’t turn into rainbow colors so a marginalized community of Americans can feel included.

We don’t get a hybrid in the sport trim, while the RAV4 you can get in the base LE trim with a hybrid. It’s a baffling decision especially since Canadians are typically more value oriented shoppers than Americans.

I think we are describing the same experience. Although you aren’t getting much of a discount off MSRP up here for CRV hybrids. Dealers seem to be settling into the long game knowing that RAV4 wait times surely make some buyers impatient.

This is not a EV industry problem. This is a capitalism problem. The obsession to find cheaper suppliers and materials will eventually lead companies to do business with companies that do heinous shit.
