I see no evidence of extortion anywhere. There’s no law on the planet that says you cannot share your experience with people before legal proceedings are concluded. What you can be used against you, but I’m sure whatever she presented was carefully vetted by a lawyer and a PR person.

You’re of course assuming that she didn’t have a lawyer working to restore control to all her accounts, something that financial institutions would have a great interest in restoring, both legally and from a PR perspective.
