Jesus, can the admins do nothing about this?
Hmm. Would have thought the directors of Freaks (though partial cheat) or Being John Malkovich might have found a slot on this list. Though maybe Freaks hasn’t reached its peak yet.
Yes, but how ever will we get the blame-shifting ball rolling, if we can’t come up with a snappy name that encapsulates our unwillingness to take responsibility for ourselves?
The Alameda Sheriff is probably a Pedo Guy.
I’m pretty sure there’s unavoidable reckoning waiting for a lot of people once we can finally put this all behind us. Covid-19 is exposing the fundamental failures of the post-truth society.
Seconded. None of TNG films did it for me, and this one was no outlier. It got high marks from fandom because most were pining to see the Borg on the big screen, but it was bad in so many ways.
Even though I couldn’t come anywhere close to his talent or work product in my brief dalliance with ID, he was a huge inspiration to me, as well as to countless others across so many disciplines. While he will be missed, it’s likely that legacy will continue for generations.
No kidding. This recurring adventure is getting old.
The BBC have also released a new trailer for their darker, sexier take on A Christmas Carol.
That was one of them. And the party at the end of the episode was note-perfect.
To everyone decrying the snubbing/ignoring/absentees: The Golden Globes are voted on by just 90-some people, and studios/networks have known forever that it doesn’t take a whole lot of time, money or effort to sway the votes of enough members to make things go their way.
Schitt’s Creek really surprised me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything about it here, at least not that I’ve read or remember. But I started it on Netflix by accident (meant to skip it because the trailer they chose wasn’t compelling at all) and it’s been a delight. My better half even balked at joining me, but…
Borne might be a tough sell on basic cable.
Thank you for sharing.
Florence Pugh as Yelena should join the future Marvel movies as the new Black Widow
The cut the trailer is about to make makes it seem like it could be Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt)...Who we get to glimpse here, leading an armored convoy of troopers. But given that this Ross is using Marvel’s creepy-ass de-aging CG on Hurt, this is clearly not a scene from Black Widow’s present as that…
You and my better half. I call her nightstand Mount Crushmore, and you’ve not been woken appropriately until you’ve experienced an energetic 3 AM novelanche.
I scrolled along and the comments appeared about 50 books earlier than I expected. Is December 2019 really this barren?
It would have been a tough sell if he was a really shitty person all around. But I agree, at least to the point that the Anakin we did get was just boring, and not in any way compelling. Almost anything would have been an improvement, including a fake-out where we find out that Jar-Jar was the real Anakin Skywalker…
