Loved the fact Jeffries seems to be some talking kettle pouring smoke into a coffee mug. Could live in Lynch's nightmare worlds for an entire episode.

https://25yearslatersite.co… Good read for anyone interested in the King Arthur parallels.
Interesting thoughts, as ever. Top Twin Peaks reviewer too, I must admit I totally missed the nod to the storytelling aspects..which just adds even more dimension..literally.
Speaking of weird reflections (Be interesting to see the Audrey ones spoke of actually), at about 5:40 last episode, Naomi Watts character is looking at the BMW and you can see a weird blurring effect on the window..much like heat haze. (I'm not entirely sure it isn't heat haze..but it feels much like the glitches…
Yeah but surely the point is Ricks science is so far beyond the norm, it would seem like magic.
Everything he did had a scientific basis. Absurd for comedy sure, but hardly magical. Just beyond the reach of mere mortals. The motor functions of a cockroaches brain, the muscle skeleton of a rat, the battery powered lazer beam gun…
For those not familiar with imdb's reviewer 'tedg' he offers an interesting insight in his review for FWWM that hints at much of this speculation :
'Is it future or is it past?'
Well theres the looping Toy that keeps repeating too a few episodes back.
Writing in this episode was much more on form, so many zingers too.
That battle was a nerve shredding masterpiece.
Production woes are numerous on this.
Please keep posting, some good theorising! I knew I'd heard her lie about the woodsman creeping 'out' of the car but assumed it was just Diane covering her tracks with another lie, but this theory sounds alot more interesting. Totally forgot about the 'Lets Rock' on the windshield too.
'He really was a cunt wasn't he'
This album is incredibly flawed but its a worthy addition, alas.. it doesn't gel as an album. Peter Pan and Chemistry are pretty terrible experiments (chemistry being more of a collosal dud), Put Your Money On Me, Electric Blue, Everything Now and We Don't Deserve Love are pretty great stand alones. The rest falls…
I saw Paul live in Liverpool of all places, it was..quite special. The sheer energy of the man is incredible for starters, I'm sure he rocked on for 3 hours straight. Barely a missed beat. (His band is as impressive as he, especially the drummer)
It definitely has an edge of black comedy to the scene..Jorah's glances, his hints at just 'getting it over with'..it was subtle but there.
Great synopsis!
To this day I do the 'i don't get it' line whenever the situation arises.
Personally I think you're spot on, the original Twin Peaks is watered down on reflection. Series 2 is well known for its dilution of duties and it really does show. The show had far grander ideas that the medium could accomplish. The return is far looser, far more 'pure unadulterated Lynch', you can feel the breathing…
