I think Breaking Bad is better than BCS for precisely the same reason. Breaking Bad revolved around an arsehole. Not even a typical antihero, but a pathetic man who completely got caught up with delusions of grandeur. That makes it a far more unique and interesting show. Yeah - the Goron beast is kind of disappointing in terms of reward, though it was probably also the easiest to kill. The Rito and Zora rewards are extremely useful. Not spent enough time using the Gerudo reward yet to know whether it's going to help me in battle much.
