2K is a resolution, yes. But is has a slightly different aspect ratio to 1080P. 2K is actually only about 100 or so square pixels larger than 1080P (1080P is measured vertically. 2K, 4K etc. are measured horizontally)

the thing with 21:9 is the most movies are still released 16:9 (And filmed and projected in 16:9 as well. Or very very close, IE: 2K) a 21:9 TV would need to be bought by a crazy hardcore anamorphic buff. Otherwise you would be throwing away a LOT of resolution when you were watching a generic 16:9 Film

neat!

Don't forget that an 18 year old can get plowed by six dudes! (Or be one of six dudes plowing someone) yet still unable to drink!

Well, lets see. most HD channels show is our HDTV in 720P, or 1080i. So first they need to find a cheap-ass way to get all that data to us. (It is 8 times as much data.)

Saying there is not life on other planets is like looking in a glass of water and claiming that there are no whales in the ocean

Fingers crossed for a possible TWiT show!

" "Because Aleynikov did not ‘assume physical control' over anything when he took the source code, and because he did not thereby ‘deprive [Goldman] of its use,' "

That begs the question: DID he sell it or give it away? Or did he simply use it for his own gain?

Def. I've actually heard that the One S is actually better in a lot of ways (Better battery, pretty much on-par for zippyness etc.)

well I think that the EVO 4G LTE will be their: 'LOOK! WE HAVE LTE NOW!" phone.

people said this would happen with Android. And it didn't.

Hot damn. The EVO 4G LTE looks so nice! It is the HTC One X with a bigger battery, and removable storage (And a kickstand...)

My HTC Legend is an aluminum body and I can take out the battery very simply.

HTC has made a vow to no longer lock their boot loaders and are actually giving instructions to unlock previous phones. so getting rid of the skin should be easy as pie. If there are announcements within the next two months for the S3 and it looks more appetizing: I'll get that. Otherwise: One X/s

I'm assuming that this will be to help promote his music locker service that was set to be released this year before he got arrested?

There is also the HTC ONE series which look pretty appetizing.

I have 2.2 I bought the phone when it came out at 2.1 (HTC Legend) The problem in Canada is that we have three year contracts to get phones cheaply instead of 2 like the US; So upgrade paths for our phones we have to wait for two FULL years to upgrade to a new phone without paying full price. (A phone that is 200$

This is actually great news. I used Google Music; then my harddrive crashed. I was wondering when I'd be able to get the music back! (Granted, it is compressed but still)

this is the kind of article I like, Giz. It's not: "TWITTER IS GOING TO SENSOR IT'S USERS!" or any of that sensationlist sutff (See: google fiasco)
